Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum

You may have seen this iconic little brown bottle with the dropper before, it's cult classic Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum and it's a gem of a product! I totally get the cult-like following behind it, it works, plain and simple. This light as a feather serum works well on it's own or under other moisturizers or makeup. It's loaded with antioxidants to help repair free radical damage to the skin.

I got one of those adorable sample bottles of this and while I use it quite often I never seem to run out. The serum is a little thicker than water with a silky texture that makes it perfect to rub into the skin. Seriously, in winter it's sunk in before I can even finish applying and even on those sticky summer nights it only takes a few seconds before my face feels completely normal again. It has a slight fragrance but it's almost undetectable on the skin and the scent won't irritate even those with sensitive skin.

It's simple, massage this product over your face, allow it to dry and for drier skintypes, add another layer of hydration on top. Believe me by morning your skin will look and feel like you just got back from the spa.

Again, this one's pretty easy to find a sample of so if the $49.50 price tag scares you give it a try first. Trust me, I'm not one to spend big bucks on skincare, or makeup in general, but you really can't beat this product for it's year round performance. Next time you pop into an Estee Lauder counter ask them for a sample or try it out, I'd be willing to bet you'll want to make it yours.

Estee Lauder Island Oasis Palette and Sea Star Bronzing Blush

Ready for summer yet? I know, we've barely made it into spring but that doesn't mean a girl can't dream. I'm sure I'll be dreading my decision come the first 100 degree day. Maybe not if I have a few of these friends by my side.

How about this wonder? This can be my right hand (wo)man all year round. Who doesn't love a good brown/gold shadow, add in a copper, a gorgeous shimmery blue and light gray and you're all set for the entire season. Estee Lauder shadows are fabulous with just the right combination of softness and pigmentation. I'm loving this.

Every pale girl's friends, bronzing blush. I've heard great things about Estee Lauder bronzers, tremendously good things about pigmentation and color choice. As a fair girl I'm not going to look right in any but the lightest shades of bronzer, period. Without turning into a muddy (or worse, orange) mess. Until now. I've seen swatches on light skin like mine and it's pure gorgeousness! This peachy-bronze blush is gorgeous and I'd absolutely wear it all year round. Then, there's the totally girl crush-worthy look of this bronzer. The starfish, although not really a fish I've been told, goes all the way through to the pan. How pretty would this look every time you whipped out your compact?

Don't miss out on this collection. At the very least pick up the completely amazing Bronze Goddess fragrance that's only around this time of year. It was one of the first "big girl" perfumes I tried a couple years ago. The smell is completely summer to me, light without being invisible.

Hurry before it's too late and you miss out, like I've done with limited edition offerings from Estee lauder that I now realize I cannot live without. Metamorphosis, anyone?

Estee Lauder Spring 2011

Woohoo. I wish I could say that it was spring already but it's not, it's barely even winter in my neck of the woods. I fear we have a long, long way to go. Fear not, something to tide you over.

I never know what to think of collections until I check out swatches and easily the best place to find those is Karlasugar.net. Since we have similar skintones I can really tell how the products will look on me. I'm really sorry I missed out on Blue Dahlia and Surreal Violet but it's not too late to check out Wild Violet.

Wild Violet is a little deceiving for the name. Personally, I pictured more purple shades instead of just the one but it is gorgeous. The rest of the colors in the palette are neutrals so the next question is how many ways can you wear this? Put a little purple in the crease or along the lashline, a neutral eye look that can easily transition from day to night, a sexy cats eye liner.

In this collection there's also a single called Untamed Violet as well as a DoubleWear eye pencil with the same name. The DoubleWear pencil formula is great with an almost gel like finish and the blue based purple Untamed Violet would look amazing with eyes of all colors, I especially love purple with brown or green eyes.

While, at $42, it's a little out of my price range I really do feel like you're getting your moneys worth with this one especially if you wear a lot of neutrals. If you buy it, or see it in person, let me know what you think.

Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara

Wowza! Hilary Rhoda is gorgeous (even in such an obviously photoshopped imaged). I love this picture so much it makes me want to buy the mascara.

I've tried, and had good results with Estee Lauder Sumptuous Mascara, especially the colored shades. The colors are more vibrant than your average colored mascara and the formula is thickening and works well to lengthen. I can't imagine getting much more extreme but I'm game.

Since I haven't tried the line, I can't offer up an opinion but I definitely would love to give this one a go. Has anyone tried it? What did you think?
