Amanda Seyfried in UK Marie Claire

Since Mean Girl's I've been infatuated with the gorgeous Amanda Seyfried and she keeps popping up everywhere I look. Not only is she the new GF of Ryan Phillippe (that bitch!) but she's starring in the non-Disney version of Red Riding Hood. On my Netflix Queue there's Veronica Mars (I can't believe I missed out on that when it was on the air) and Wildfire (ditto).

Then, as I completely ignored the stacks of magazines currently taking over my house, I happened to pick up the UK version of Marie Claire while at Border's. Check out these gorgeous pictures, I just had to share them with you.

Can I be Amanda Seyfried when I grow up? What big eyes you have, my dear. What big lips you have, my dear. Gorgeous!

Instyle Special Edition Hair

Magazines are the second loves of my life, okay, so fourth or fifth after my husband, family and cat. They are right up there with music and makeup. I love them. InStyle has long been one of my favorites, not only because it's always the biggest one in the mailbox but because it's chock full of amazing beauty and fashion articles and tons of wonderful photographs. That's why I was so disappointed when I got the Hair Special Edition in the mail. Not only is it a measly 130 pages (a waste of paper if you ask me) and basically one big ad for John Frieda products but I loved the old InStyle makeover. Since when is hair enough? You could change your hair every day and still be the exact same person to everyone around you. I want fashion, makeup, perfume, nail polish and accessories. A girl cannot live on hairstyles alone. That said, I am in the process of a pretty big hair change myself (photos and reviews to come)!

There is a light at the end of the tunnel though, I found tons of great things to share with everyone, items I've tried and loved that would otherwise be forgotten about blogging-wise, a few haircare products that I have to add to my list, even some gorgeous ladies to feature on Face-Off Fridays. It's not all a loss. Of course, I'm always up for suggestions. If there is anything you'd like to see a review of on Drug of Choice, shoot me a line and I'll do my best to get it up, drugofchoicebeauty (at) yahoo (dot) com. Any features you'd like to see, any advice you need, I'm a wealth of information. It's good to know my photographic memory can still come in handy now that I've outgrown test taking.

Now, if you're still thinking about picking up InStyle Hair even after I told you not to (you bad, bad girl) may I suggest skimming it in line and hopping over to InStyle.com and using their virtual makeover tool, a much more effective and helpful aid. Here's what I came up with over there years ago when I tried it.

It's quite creepy how much I look like my mother in that second one! None of these were my inspiration for my change but you'll find that out soon enough!

Vouge Best Dressed Special Edition

I make it a point not to purchase special editions of magazines, especially when they cost $10.99, but I couldn't resist at least browsing through the Vogue Best Dressed Special Edition. It's amazing.

With pictorial proof of the chicness of Blake Lively, Marion Cotillard, Michelle Obama, Jessica Biel, Alexa Chung, Sarah Jessica Parker, and many more there are so many fabulous fashions to ogle it's ALMOST worth the $11.

I'm not a Vogue reader, I figure, I can't afford it so why bother, right? I love me some InStyle (even though that's clearly out of my price range as well). But, I have to admit, even though I hate to, that Vogue has easily the best pictures, the most notorious fashion spreads and the most talked about celebrities and models in the issues. Definitely take a peek at this magazine-book hybrid and let me know what you think.

Cosmo's Fun Fearless Females Global Campaign

I subscribe to A LOT of magazines but each month I look forward to Cosmo the most, it's all the fashion, beauty and sex you could want in one place. This month was no exception! Julia Stiles graces the cover (I had no idea she was on Dexter, I have to get around to watching that show on Netflix instant then)!

Go to and upload your picture to be taken on a video tour of a Cosmo model's life. The site is a little slow to load but you can upload a picture directly from your Facebook page and put the video on your wall when you're done. Sounds like a lot of fun!

The Badass Beauty Tricks starting on page 95 and Sexy Spa Secrets on 202 are more than worth the price of the magazine! I can't wait to try them all out.
