It seems like a theme over the last few weeks, I swear it's not intentional, every weekend is a perfume post. This time it's Vera Wang's newest Lovestruck and more specifically the lovely Leighton Meester in the ads.
Lovestruck is a sparkling floral with a young spirit, perfect sounding for those of us between teen scents and those marketed towards older ladies. Vera Wang herself describes it as "Lovestruck is all about being overwhelmed, inexplicably, hopelessly in love, allowing yourself to feel passion in spite of yourself, the situation, the repercussions. A new definition of Romeo and Juliet. Sexy, sensual, unstoppable". Of course, smelling is believing and I can't wait for the August release of this showstopper.
Keep your eye out for this lovely print ad of Leighton Meester in magazines and the TV ad this summer. Shooting on a balcony in a gorgeous Vera Wang gown I couldn't get over how beautiful she looked and apparently neither could gawkers on the street. According to WWD, neither could Vera, knowing she was going in the right direction when tourists staring at Leighton declared that they wanted to look like her. PS- The male model pictured with her is Tommy Dunn, a big time male model who is everywhere lately. Tell me you can't resist him.
